Hoover Dam AV Experiences

Experiences Overview
1.1.1 Flowing Waters
A 4x3 video wall made of 12 Planar displays powered by a BrightSign player. It features dynamic visuals of water and related educational content.
2.2.1 Harnessing The River
A blended projection experience across a faceted wall, powered by a 7th Sense server and Epson projectors, with an immersive audio system.
3.1.2a Passageway Experience (Exterior Wall)
An installation using large Samsung displays and 7th Sense media servers. This exhibit showcases immersive content triggered by visitor interactions, including dynamic video and audio sequences.
3.1.2b Passageway Experience (Interior Wall)
A companion installation to 3.1.2a using 98-inch portrait displays powered by a 7th Sense server.
3.1.3 Construction Audioscape
An audio-focused installation with ceiling speakers, subwoofers, and bass shakers that recreate the sounds and vibrations of dam construction.
3.1.4 Joe McGee
An audio exhibit featuring commentary and background construction sounds delivered through multiple speakers and amplifiers.
4.1.2 Plunger Interactive
An interactive plunger that triggers events in the Passageway Experience, demonstrating cause-and-effect through visuals and sound.
4.1.3 Design and Engineering
Two Epson projectors and a BrightSign player project content on an architect’s desk and backdrop, showing the planning process of the dam.
4.1.6 Surveyor/Transit Views
Two Lenovo PCs powering small 7-inch displays to showcase surveying and transit tools used during dam construction.
4.2.4 Construction Model
An ADA-compliant interactive model with Elo touchscreen PCs and NavPads, allowing guests to explore construction details.
4.2.5 Dam Wall Timeline
A multi-projector blended display powered by a 7th Sense server that presents the history and timeline of the dam’s construction.
4.2.7 A Day on the Job
An audio storytelling installation with Molitor handsets and synchronized lighting effects triggered via UDP.
4.3.2 Ragtown
An audio storytelling installation similar to “A Day on the Job,” focusing on the lives of workers and families in Ragtown.
4.3.4 Boulder City Doorway
An interactive doorway experience with a motion sensor triggering video playback and audio when visitors approach.
5.1.1 Inside The Dam
An exhibit showing the inner workings and features of the dam using multimedia displays.
5.2.1 Turbine Photo Op
An interactive photo station where visitors can engage with turbine-related content.
5.2.2 Water Management
An exhibit explaining the processes and importance of water management at the dam using multimedia content.
