Controls

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Operation โ€‹

  1. The system will come on automatically based on a global schedule, or you can override it using the control tablet.
  2. Confirm playback across all ten displays.
  3. End of day: power down via the control UI.

๐Ÿงฐ Maintenance โ€‹

  • If a display is dark, check its local HDBaseT receiver, the cabling, and the selected input.
  • Verify HDBaseT link status at both the transmitter and the receiver.
  • If a display is unresponsive, confirm its power state over Samsung MDC and power-cycle it from MDC before a manual power cycle.
  • If the wall is blank or frozen, verify the 7thSense server output and restart playback.

โš™๏ธ Configuration โ€‹

Applications Used โ€‹

  • 7thSense Delta GUI / Web UI: content management and playback control on the media servers.
  • Samsung MDC (Multiple Display Control): display power, input, and picture control over the network on TCP 1515.
  • Samsung display web UI: per-display settings where applicable.
  • IDK HDC-S01U web UI: HDBaseT transmitter and receiver status.

Connection Details โ€‹

Displays are network-addressable and controlled over Samsung MDC (TCP 1515):

  • Samsung Display (DISP02-01): 10.10.0.40
  • Samsung Display (DISP02-02): 10.10.0.41
  • Samsung Display (DISP02-03): 10.10.0.42
  • Samsung Display (DISP02-04): 10.10.0.43 (recorded as Not Installed in the as-built inventory)
  • Samsung Display (DISP02-05): 10.10.0.44
  • Samsung Display (DISP02-06): 10.10.0.45
  • Samsung Display (DISP02-07): 10.10.0.46
  • Samsung Display (DISP02-08): 10.10.0.47
  • Samsung Display (DISP02-09): 10.10.0.48
  • Samsung Display (DISP02-10): 10.10.0.49

Media servers:

  • 7thSense Server (DVP04-01): 10.10.0.50
  • 7thSense Server (DVP04-02): 10.10.0.51

Updating Media โ€‹

  1. Connect to the 7thSense server using Delta GUI.
  2. Load the updated assets and publish to the timeline that spans the 5x2 display canvas.
  3. Confirm the content appears aligned across all ten displays and save the show file to backups.

Adjusting Display Alignment โ€‹

  1. Use the 7thSense Delta GUI to position and align the content across the 5x2 array so seams line up between displays.
  2. Use Samsung MDC or the on-display picture menu to set matching picture size, position, and image settings on each panel.
  3. Re-verify alignment across the full wall after any display or receiver replacement.

๐Ÿ”ง Troubleshooting โ€‹

Two displays in the middle column of the wall go dark at the same moment, and a reboot has no effectDISP02-06/07 ยท 10.10.0.45/.46

Why

The two stacked middle-column units, DISP02-06 (10.10.0.45) and DISP02-07 (10.10.0.46), share a branch circuit. When that circuit trips, both drop together. After power is restored, a display may not power back on by itself, or may come back but fail to rejoin the network because its switch port is stuck.

Do this

  1. Confirm the scope: check that it is exactly these two stacked middle-column displays and the rest of the wall is on.
  2. At the electrical panel, check whether the breaker feeding the display wall has tripped and restore it. Give the displays time to come back.
  3. If a display stays dark after the circuit is restored, power it on with the Samsung remote. The IR receiver is at the bottom center of the panel.

Still stuck

If a display powers on but does not rejoin the network (no image, no system control), contact support. Recovery has required a remote reboot of that display's switch port.

One panel is noticeably dimmer than the others, or a panel is dark while confirmed powered

Why

A hardware-level backlight or main-board fault inside that individual panel (DISP02-01 through DISP02-10, 10.10.0.40 through 10.10.0.49). Remote diagnostics returned no warnings on the ten units in the past case, which places the fault below the diagnostic layer.

Do this

  1. Confirm the panel is powered and the other nine look normal.
  2. Note which panel position is affected.

Still stuck

Report it to support as a possible warranty item. A dim or failed panel is handled as a Samsung warranty claim and an on-site board replacement; there is no site-tech correction.

A display is powered and on, but the wall video is blank or frozen

Why

The 7thSense media server feeding the wall has stopped outputting.

Do this

  1. Confirm the displays are on and receiving power.
  2. Reboot the Passageway exhibit source from the control tablet and give the server time to restart.

Still stuck

If a reboot does not restore video, contact support. A remote reboot of the video server has resolved this in the past.

If the first action does not resolve it, contact the KMI AV support team: Brian Alexander, 214-799-1850, Brian.Alexander@OnyxIntegrations.com.
